Your Marianjoy Care Team
Our goal here at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital is to help you and your family return to the lifestyle you enjoyed before your illness or injury. To meet this goal, we provide you with a dedicated team of experienced professionals to assist you every step of the way.
Upon your admission to Marianjoy, your team will meet with you to evaluate and learn more about you. You and your family are important members of this team.
Other members of your care team include a physician who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, a rehabilitation nurse, a resident, and a care manager. Your team will also include other clinical specialists, including a physical therapist, an occupational therapist and a speech-language pathologist. Depending on your circumstances, your team may include a psychologist, dietician, therapeutic recreation specialist, or a chaplain.
Everyone at Marianjoy understands that this is a time of change and challenge for you and your family. Our individualized, holistic treatment approach – The Circle of Care – is developed to help you achieve your goals by addressing and caring for your body, mind and spirit. The members of your care team work together and meet regularly to ensure your plan maximizes your functional skills, independence and mobility. Your care team is here to provide more than rehabilitation care; the team members, together with you and your family, work hard to restore hope and rebuild lifestyles.
Attending and consulting physicians are not employed by Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, but are independent physicians with privileges to provide services to patients at our facilities. The attending physicians are employees of Marianjoy Medical Group, a separate corporation from the hospital.
