Patients leaving an acute or sub-acute setting often require further outpatient or day treatment rehabilitation to achieve a more independent lifestyle. CRS Rehabilitation Specialists provides the treatment and coordination required to meet the intensive needs of persons with neurological impairment.

CRS Rehabilitation Specialists' approach to care planning for each of our clients is interdisciplinary in nature and includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech/language pathology, social work, and nursing.

Our philosophy is to involve both the client and the family when developing and implementing the inter-disciplinary treatment plan. We believe that the rehabilitation process should be structured as an active partnership with the client and the family participating as active members of the treatment team.

Cognition

Cognition and resulting behaviors affect every aspect of our lives, from basic living skills to complex vocational activities. Cognitive retraining is the means by which the brain adapts and relearns some of the skills it has lost as a result of the injury.

  • Attention
  • Concentration
  • Organization
  • Orientation
  • Initiation
  • Problem Solving
