Language and Behavior: A Two-Sided Coin

Using Applied Behavior Analysis and Applied Verbal
Behavior to Teach Children with All Types of Delays

This free presentation by Marianjoy Speech-Language Pathologist, Jill Marshall MA CCC-SLP, will help explain the role of behavior (ABA) and language (AVB) in increasing children’s skill and decreasing problem behaviors, which negatively impact their ability to learn to their full potential. Examples of ABA goals could be how to improve fine motor skills, promoting attending behavior, improving expressive language skills, extinguishing self-injurious behaviors, reducing tantrums, and more.

As a courtesy, we will be offering a separate event for children during the presentation. Artistic Expressions, a Marianjoy Continuing Community Class for kids, encourages exploration and expression
through photography, paint, collage, sculpture, and more! The class is led by Elizabeth Witt, MS CCC-SLP. This one-time opportunity will be offered at $1 per child.
