Marianjoy offers most classes free of charge unless otherwise indicated in the descriptions below. Registration is required for all classes. You may enroll by clicking the registration below or calling 630-909-7102.
An Introduction to Walking the Labyrinth
The labyrinth is an ancient tool used for spiritual reflection and growth, providing an opportunity for centering reflection, self-discovery, and mindful movement to all who walk or wheel its path.
Participants will be given a brief history of the labyrinth, be taught the proper way to walk it, and will then be invited to experience it.
The free presentation will take place in Marianjoy’s labyrinth located on the hospital’s main campus in Wheaton.

Spinal Cord Injury and Chronic Pain
This professional seminar will provide the most up to date knowledge on spinal cord injury related chronic pain disorders for persons with spinal cord injury and their caregivers. Understanding the effects that pain stressors have on a person’s motor function and various options for managing chronic pain will be discussed. Proper seating and positioning in a wheelchair and modifications that can be made to protect one’s upper extremity will be adressed, as well as strategies to improve locomotor function for individuals with incomplete spinal cord injuries.

Adult Summer Therapeutic Golf
Marianjoy's Therapeutic Golf Program helps individuals regain independence and functionality, and helps them
get back to the game of golf.
The Marianjoy Therapeutic Golf
Program is open to golfers of all ability levels and is designed to help each
person improve at their own pace. These clinics help individuals regain independence and functionality, and help
get them back to the game of golf.
Clinic participants will have an opportunity to practice on the range,
putting green, and a short course setting. Instruction is tailored to
meet each person's unique needs. Our program is open to all golfers of all
ability levels and are designed to help each person improve at his or her ownpace!

Yoga is the perfect exercise to help calm your mind, stretch your body, and firm your core. All physical ability levels are welcome and modifications to the exercises will be shown.

When: Classes take place every Monday and Thursday for five-weeks. Sessions continue on a consecutive basis. Call for information on the next upcoming session.
Time: 5:45-6:45 p.m.
Where: The Marianjoy Adminstration Building
Cost: A five-week session is $50 – only $5/per class! Payment can be made on the first night of class. Cash or check is accepted.
