Volunteering at Marianjoy

Marianjoy has more than 180 caring, active volunteers who contribute more than 24,000 hours of service annually. Our volunteers are an important part of Marianjoy’s mission to rebuild lifestyles for people with disabilities.

Becoming a Volunteer

Marianjoy welcomes adult and student volunteers. We have an active VolunTEEN program, which some area high schools have included in their curriculum.

To become a volunteer, please call (630) 909-7400 to request an information packet. This packet includes an application with a return envelope. After we’ve received your application, we will call you to arrange a time for a tour and to discuss your interests and our current opportunities.

Advantages of Volunteering

In return for your commitment, you’ll receive many benefits including:

  • A volunteer orientation.
  • Training from the department in which you work.
  • Annual luncheon honoring all volunteers.
  • Recognition and appreciation from Marianjoy patients and staff.
  • The opportunity to make long-lasting friendships with volunteers, staff and patients.
  • A sense of satisfaction knowing you’re helping our patients return to active, productive lifestyles.
