Levels of Care
Consistent with our dedication to complete rehabilitation and restoration, Marianjoy delivers the intensity of services that you need, from simple to complex, in the most cost-efficient setting available. Our levels of care include:
Inpatient Hospital
Marianjoy offers inpatient care to patients who require intensive rehabilitation and 24-hour hospital support. At Marianjoy, inpatient is a level of care that provides a dedicated care team to help you achieve your rehabilitation goals.
Subacute Rehabilitation
Subacute rehabilitation is appropriate for people who need comprehensive rehabilitation services but at a less intense level than the services our inpatient program provides.
People who are admitted to our subacute program need an inpatient setting but not the high intensity of care that a hospital offers to be able to achieve their rehabilitation goals and meet their medical needs. Our subacute rehabilitation is offered through our partnerships with Rest Haven West and Rest Haven Central.
Outpatient/Day Rehabilitation
A key component of Marianjoy’s continuum of care is our outpatient rehabilitation programs. These programs provide physical rehabilitation services in an outpatient setting to patients receiving a single therapy or multiple therapies for a variety of diagnoses including orthopedic conditions and acute or chronic pain. Comprehensive coordinates or treatment is also available to patients with neurological conditions. Multiple sites in Wheaton, Oakbrook Terrace, Palos Heights and Downers Grove are available to meet patient needs. Transportation is available on a limited basis.
Outpatient physician services are available for those patients requiring consultation, oversight and management of their physical rehabilitation needs.
Attending and consulting physicians are not employed by Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, but are independent physicians with privileges to provide services to patients at our facilities. The attending physicians are employees of Marianjoy Medical Group, a separate corporation from the hospital.
