Marianjoy, Chicago Medical School Establish New Academic AffiliationNew affiliation will greatly expand Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency Program at Marianjoy Oct 19, 2012 (Wheaton, IL) – Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital and the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science recently announced a new relationship that designates the North Chicago, Illinois, university as an academic affiliate of Marianjoy’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program. “The Chicago Medical School is an academic leader in medicine and this mutual commitment will allow us to share intellectual resources and expand research opportunities,” explains Marianjoy President and CEO, Kathleen Yosko. “We are looking forward to working in partnership with the Chicago Medical School to further advance the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.” “We are very grateful to Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital for enabling this new partnership,” says Dean of the Chicago Medical School and Vice President of Medical Affairs, Russell Robertson, MD. “A special strength of the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science is the many affiliations we have developed. Marianjoy’s three-year Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) training program includes clinical experience, educational opportunities, and research activities.
