Job Shadow Program

(Observation Only – "No Hands On")

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital welcomes the opportunity to provide you with a Shadow Experience within our health care system.

It is important to understand this experience offers you the opportunity to OBSERVE a member of our health care staff performing an occupation that interests you, the functioning of a particular department and/or the integration of an occupation or department within a healthcare system. Please note that for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology, observation experiences are only available for up to 8 hours. If you would like an opportunity to observe or volunteer for a prolonged period of time (minimum 30-40 hours), you can contact the volunteer office.

Under these guidelines, you will not be allowed to participate in patient care activities, operate equipment, access patient or other records or perform any other “Hands on” functions.

PRIOR TO SCHEDULING:
Prior to scheduling a date for your Shadow Experience, you must read the Dress Code Policy and complete the Shadow Agreement and submit the signed agreement and documentation to:
