ZeroG® Gait and Balance Training System
Dynamic Body-Weight Support for Active Gait Therapy
The ZeroG® Gait and Balance Training System is the most researched robotic overground body-weight support system in the rehabilitation field. Patients receiving gait therapy with the ZeroG® are secured in a ceiling-mounted harness system that protects the patient from falling while providing needed body-weight support. .
How does the ZeroG® Work?
A secure harness is connected to a 160-foot track mounted into the ceiling. The computerized control can be customized to the weight and ability level of the patient. Progress is monitored as the patient practices functional abilities that result in improved performance of daily activities.
What are the benefits of the ZeroG® System?
The ZeroG® enables patients to practice walking, balance tasks, sit-to-stand maneuvers, and stairs in a safe, controlled environment. The system allows the patient to increase his or her mobility while reducing the risk of injury.
Dynamic body-weight support compensates for weakness and poor coordination, permitting intensive therapy sessions at earlier stages of recovery. Patients aren’t inhibited by the fear of falling and have the confidence to push their limits.
The ZeroG® can be used with a wide range of patients including those recovering from traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, amputation, and orthopedic injury.
