Marianjoy’s Applied Rehabilitation Technology (ART) service provides extensive seating and mobility evaluations and a selection of equipment by certified therapists, offering patients evaluation and fitting for:

Our therapists are certified assistive technology practitioners with years of hands-on experience. They will work carefully with you to provide the most effective device for your needs. Because your life environment is unique, our staff recognizes that you bring different factors that must be considered when selecting the right device for mobility.
Our ART therapists consider overall comfort and fit, optimal function and medical well-being. We offer mobility devices from a variety of technology suppliers and manufacturers. Marianjoy’s therapists are advocates for you, working with various insurance plans to communicate the medical need for the recommended equipment.

Referrals for evaluation by an ART therapist require a doctor’s prescription for a “wheelchair evaluation and fitting.” If necessary, an appointment with one of the Marianjoy Medical Group physicians can be scheduled by calling (630) 909-7000 to obtain a referral.
