Biofeedback is a non-invasive therapy technique that enables patients to literally tune in to the signals from
their bodies to improve health and physical function. Biofeedback uses electronic measuring devices to monitor
and amplify involuntary body functions such as:
- Skin temperature
- Breathing rate
- Muscle tension
This information is then relayed or “fed back” to you, so you can learn to modify your behavior, which can alter tension levels. The process involves relaxing, telling your body what you want it to do and then letting it happen.
