|Dr. S. Christine Valessares
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Valessares is the pediatric neuropsychologist at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital. She graduated from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and following her graduation, completed a two-year postgraduate specialization in neuropsychological assessment, with an emphasis on pediatrics.
Dr. Valessares taught elementary school and conducted neuropsychological assessments in private practice. For almost six years, she worked as a psychologist in public school districts and wrote Individual Education Programs (IEP) and 504 Plans.
Dr. Valessares’ unique background of psychological training and public school employment affords her the experience to assist with a variety of school-based issues, such as school recommendations for children with concussions, attention problems, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and anxiety. She serves on multiple insurance panels.
Currently, she specializes in neuropsychological assessment and treatment recommendations for attention problems, concussions, cerebral palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, anxiety, and depression. Dr. Valessares enjoys discovering the path to success for each child.
