Outpatient Therapy and

Day Rehabilitation

Marianjoy is a leader in the provision of outpatient therapy and rehabilitation services across the greater Chicagoland area for both adults and children. Each Marianjoy outpatient facility is equipped to accommodate specific physical rehabilitation needs.

Patients who do not require inpatient acute can benefit from either the multidisciplinary Day Rehabilitation Program or other outpatient therapy services. Marianjoy expert clinicians address specific patient needs with personalized therapy sessions utilizing our state-of-the-art therapy devices.

Day Rehabilitation

Day Rehabilitation therapy is for patients who still require close monitoring by a Marianjoy Medical Group physiatrist while receiving physical, speech and/or occupational therapy as an outpatient. Other services, such as psychology, nursing and case management are also available as parts of the Day Rehabilitation Program, as needed, as the care team continues to work towards the patient's optimal function. Approval for admittance to the program is sometimes required through a medical record review if a patient is referred by an external physician.

Outpatient Therapy

Outpatient therapy is for patients requiring physical, speech and/or occupational therapy, without monitoring by a Marianjoy physiatrist.

To schedule one-on-one therapy with a physical, occupational or speech therapist, please call 630.909.7150. A physician prescription is required.

What to Bring to Day Rehabilitation and Outpatient Therapy

Please bring the following items with you prior to your first outpatient therapy appointment:

Current medication list
Any hospital discharge paperwork, including current therapy prescription
Any insurance cards and/or insurance referral forms for HMO policies
We encourage family and friends to attend, especially the first outpatient therapy visit
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and comfortable shoes

Making an Appointment

A physician prescription for therapy is required. If you currently do not have a physician, you may see one of the Marianjoy Medical Group physicians for an evaluation. To make an appointment with one of our physicians, please call 630.909.7000.
